MARINE PROSPERITY ZONES

At Sailing For Prosperity, we believe that true regeneration begins with shared responsibility. Our Marine Prosperity Zones (MPZs) are designated areas where communities, scientists, and local stakeholders come together to manage marine resources in a way that ensures long-term ecological health and community well-being.

This initiative supports the creation of a community-accessible marine monitoring system, designed to encourage compliance with environmental regulations and foster continuous improvement in local prosperity. Through collaborative resource management, each zone becomes a living example of how conservation and livelihoods can thrive side by side.

Below, explore the Marine Prosperity Zones we’ve identified—each one a step toward a healthier Sea of Cortez and a more resilient coastal future.
